March 24, you guys may be wondering what has this girl been up to lately--haven't heard from her for ages!!!! yes, i've been really busy....i have yet to complete many tasks...but one of which i found most accomplishment in--my history assignment. i've been cracking my brains over weeks cos' i haven't been really grappling with the primary and secondary historical sources well. it seems like going on a law case, yet haven't really decided on whether i want to be the prosecuter or the defender. the available evidences are just too general....too superficial and too ordinary for me to make out any conclusions from my findings. oh well~ it's been an interesting journey tho'....to really search deep into the sources and find loopholes in history. TOUGH, but yet fulfilling when you finally found the way out~ yeah, i've been researching on Borobodur lately~ yeah, very interestingggggggg~ =p
one thing i must comment is...i always love my tuesdays! yes, it was a tuesday yesterday and i simply enjoyed my SWK tutorial and lectures for the day. guess that's a motivating factor for me to wakey early on Tuesdays and travel that long journey down to the Caulfield campus. but, the day is always rewarding! the more i attend these tutorial classes, the more i discover my innate self....the desire to become a social worker has always been inside me. throughout these weeks of tutorial discussions, we grapple with personal issues, past experiences and cultural factors, religious beliefs and few important contributing factors to what we call 'self'. i'm amazed at how much i got out from tutorials by just simple discussions like: "what values do you hold inside you? where do i think i got my values and believes from? how is it going to affect my social work experience next time?" perhaps, i have enjoyed such tutorials alot because i dare to speak up and be different in class. to know that my views are different and yet accepted makes me feel confident about my views. more so, i'm beginning to realise that my words have been thought-provoking.....guess this is what make me special. many tute mates have come up to me and said..."hey, i have never thought of that~!!" and it just brings me to smile when i'm able to help someone see some "light"!*LightBuilb* =)
